Just Sold in Fairfield Woods: Secured Before It Was Built
101 Applegate Road, Fairfield, CT | Sold for $1,650,000
101 Applegate Road closed on October 5, 2026 for $1,650,000, and I represented the buyer. She committed before the house was far enough along to walk through, and that timing is what kept a bidding war off the table.
An Important Move
This was an important move for my client and her kids, and the search came down to finding a home that checked every box. This one checked all of them and more.
Strategy That Won the Home
Getting in early did two things. It gave my client a vision for the house and the option to customize it, choosing her own upgrades as it came together rather than inheriting someone else’s. And because the home could not yet be toured, there was no field of buyers to compete with.
Waiting for completion would have meant walking through alongside everyone else and facing a potential bidding war. Moving early meant securing the house at its $1,650,000 asking price with no competition at all.
Reading a House Before It Exists
Buying before completion is not a leap of faith. It is a reading exercise. The plans show where the light lands and where the traffic runs, the finish schedule shows what is standard and what is an upgrade, and the builder’s prior work tells you most of the rest. Buyers who do that reading get to shape a house before it exists.
The Home
What she bought is a fully redesigned and rebuilt colonial of 4,880 square feet on just over a quarter acre in Fairfield Woods: four bedrooms, three full baths and a half bath, hardwood floors, an open main level, and a designer kitchen with a large island at its center.

Applegate Road is a quiet, walkable horseshoe just off Fairfield Woods Road, close to shopping and dining but set back enough to feel private. New construction on an established Fairfield street does not come up often.

Congratulations to my buyer, and welcome home to her and her kids.
